“Shode! Shode! Dancing!” by Mayu Kudō
Yes, this is how thorough I’m being.
This parenting blog/webcomic adaptation hasn’t been touched by fansubbers to my knowledge, but that shouldn’t stop this energetic opening qualifying for this list.

“Yatterman’s Song” by Saemon Onyakichi
“Yatterman’s Song” by Yuki Nishio
There’s a third cover of the original theme that came between these two, but I can’t find a clip for it. From what I’ve seen of the new show, it’s one of those series that would be much improved if the episodes were in the same style as the openings.

Hmm… I have no idea who this is by or what it is called…
Speed Racer creator Tatsuo Yoshida’s daughter, Suzuka Yoshida, is the artistic force behind this SASSY! take on the Speed Racer aesthetic that didn’t get much play in English speaking anime fandom. A shame as her character design is a fantastic update on the Tatsunoko house style.
Check out a gallery of her work here.

“Kemeko Deluxe!” by Chiwa Saito, Haruka Tomatsu, Mikako Takahashi, Rie Kugimiya, Ryoko Shiraishi, Ayako Kawasumi and Mai Goto
Tsutomu Mizushima’s adaptation would be up their with his Guu adaptation if he wasn’t continually dragged back down to earth by having to actually adapt the fairly pedestrian manga. However the opening captures the ribaldry & insanity he manages to work in periodically.
