Remember Ikkitousen? Well this is based on the manga that Ikkitousen so shamefully plagarised, as I first encountered it when people’d post art comparisons between the two on 4chan and rage would commence. The Greg Land threads of manga I’d guess.
As dumb as Oh Great’s writing is, his art is top notch. So it’s something of a problem that the anime adaptation doesn’t capture that greatness, as that was the only thing going for the story in the first place.
