HATE FUN 2002! Princess Tutu
Ikuko Ito, Junichi Sato and much of the Magic User’s Club staff reunite to find yet another twist on the magical girl genre with this tale of a duck who is turned into a human. You know what, that team need to get together again, because they are a good mix. I think a lot of them were on Fushigiboshi no Futago Hime, but not Ito or Chiaki J. Konaka. Konaka on shows you’re not expecting Konaka to be on is so much better than when he’s on shows you’d expect him on. Unless we get a proper Lovecraft based anime, then he’s an obvious choice (Magic User’s Club was full of Cthulhu Mythos gags/references).
Where were we? Oh yes, Princess Tutu, the second best duck themed anime of all time. Which ADV packaged in somewhat creepy packaging that kind of hid what sort of show it actually was.
